Afro-streetwear label Maison Château Rouge renews its collaboration with Jordan Brand. This time, Youssouf Fofana and his creative teams revisit MJ's second signature model. Inspired by the ties that bind different cultures together, the Parisian brand offers us a premium version of the 1986 model. The Air Jordan 2 Retro SP Maison Château Rouge United Youth National features an off-white, full-grain leather base. A number of embossed details enhance the upper, referring to scarification, an aesthetic custom found among several West African ethnic groups. Brogue-style perforations surround the upper and accompany the triangular cutouts. The back and toe of the pair feature orange suede inserts inspired by SBB colorways. The whole ensemble rests on a beige speckle sole with a brown insole, customized in the manner of a commemorative (wax) loincloth.
